Life – and death – of corals explained
Prof. Anders Meibom, head of the biological geochemistry laboratory and director of the Transnational Red Sea Center at EPFL, was the main guest on the CQFD programme this Friday on the Swiss national radio RTS. This was an opportunity to understand everything about how coral reefs function and the threats to these fragile ecosystems - which are so vital to the health of the oceans. It was also an occasion to raise awareness about the huge potential of scientific diplomacy in terms of preservation, an approach at the heart of the Transnational Red Sea Center.
