Bern, transnational capital of the Red Sea
The official launch of the Transnational Red Sea Center in March 2019 in the Swiss federal capital Bern made it clear that such an ambitious, yet not negotiable, goal consisting in saving the last «coral refuge» on Earth would be achieved only through bridging science and diplomacy. The speech Federal Councilor Ignazio Cassis delivered on this occasion speaks volume for what the Center is all about.
