Djibouti workshop, a photo immersion 4/4

The TRSC terminates its series of photo reports featuring various aspects of the educational workshop organised from 17 to 25 April in Djibouti in partnership with the University of Djibouti and in close collaboration with the local authorities.

Episode 4: empowering the younger generation. Morning 4 of the workshop consisted in a series of lectures on coral reef conservation followed by discussions on methods of conservation and monitoring of these fragile ecosystems.

The lectures, led by members of the TRSC and its local partners, also provided an opportunity to look back at the scientific mission to the Gulf of Tadjoura in September 2022, and to present a detailed overview of the current status of Djibouti's reefs.

As on the previous days, the second-year Bachelor students participating in the workshop were invited to present a research paper on the theme of coral reefs in small groups. Well done to all and fair winds in your young and promising career!
