A Swiss Ambassador for science diplomacy

Because «new technologies are becoming increasingly important to foreign policy», Switzerland appointed its first «special representative for science diplomacy» in February. Ambassador Alexandre Fasel’s mission will be «to strengthen Geneva's role as a digital governance hub», among other tasks of a more global mandate.
